Azerbaijan claims shelling of a village in conflict zone

Over a day, the ceasefire regime in the Karabakh conflict zone was violated 29 times, and the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the village of Kokhnegyshlag came under fire, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 28, Azerbaijan reported its positions were shelled 26 times. In turn, Nagorno-Karabakh registered 100 attacks on the positions of the Defence Army in the week from October 14 to 20.

The fire came from the territory of Armenia and from the positions "near the occupied villages," the Azerbaijani MoD reported.

After on September 28, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan agreed to create a mechanism to prevent ceasefire violations, the number of attacks significantly decreased.
