Law enforcers report demining of two munitions in Makhachkala

The explosive devices, found in Takho-Godi Street and near the dwelling settlement of Tarki in Makhachkala, have been rendered harmless and transferred to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), a source from the Dagestani Branch of "Rosgvardia" (Russian National Guard) has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 13, Takho-Godi Street in Makhachkala was cordoned off to check a suspicious object found by children.

"With the help of a magnet, kids were searching for a bicycle sunk in the canal, but instead they dragged out an object that looked like a grenade; and reported to the nearest police station. The arriving MIA agents cordoned off the area where the dangerous object was found and called the explosives experts," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by the press service of the Dagestani "Rosgvardia" Branch.

According to the source, on August 13 in Makhachkala, near the Tarki settlement, another explosive device was found, hidden under a stone.

"It was noticed by a young man who called the police. Upon arriving to the venue, 'Rosgvardia' employees examined the object and identified it as a grenade launcher shot," the source has explained, adding that the found objects were inspected and transferred to the republic's MIA for examination.
