Police officer wounded in Chechnya

A skirmish between patrol service officers and representatives of the Counter-terrorist Centre (the former Chechen presidential security service controlled by Ramzan Kadyrov – ed.) occurred in Shali at about midnight yesterday. A police officer, Islam Shovkhalov, sustained several serious wounds and was admitted to intensive care in the district hospital, the Russian-Chechen Friendship Society reports.
