Press service rejects Ramzan Kadyrov's connection with a scandalous film company

The state-owned enterprise "Chechenfilm", against which leaders a criminal case on fraud has been instituted, is liquidated and its general director left Russia, reported Alvi Karimov, the spokesman for the leader of Chechnya.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 30, with reference to sources from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), it was reported that an investigation was launched into thefts in the "Chechenfilm". According to the edition's sources, the board of trustees of the film studio included, among others, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.

The authorities of Chechnya have no relations with the state-owned unitary enterprise "Film Studio Chechenfilm", announced Alvi Karimov, the spokesman for the leader of Chechnya.

"We learned from the media about the fact that the criminal proceedings had been instituted against the 'Chechenfilm'. The liquidation of the film studio was completed yet in September 2014," the "Interfax" quoted on July 30 Alvi Karimov, the spokesman for the leader of Chechnya, as reporting.

Alvi Karimov has also noted that Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov did not give his consent to be included in the board of trustees of the state-owned unitary enterprise (SUE) "Film Studio Chechenfilm".

According to Alvi Karimov, Inalbek Sheripov, the director of the SUE "Chechenfilm", did not shoot films in Chechnya. "Mr Sheripov left Russia yet in 2012. The leaders of the Chechen Republic have no relation with him. He is a person who permanently resides in the US and Europe," noted the spokesman for the leader of Chechnya.
