Observers prove the overstated voter turnout at election in NCFD regions

The official voter turnout at the election of the Russian president in the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) were overstated, volunteers report, who compared the data of video records from some polling stations with the official data of the Central Election Commission (CEC), the "Novaya Gazeta" reports today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 18, the voting took place at the presidential election in Russia. Observers reported numerous violations.

Volunteers of several public organizations have calculated the voter turnout at 10 randomly selected polling station in each of five Russian regions: Chechnya, Dagestan, Tatarstan, Karachay-Cherkessia and Kabardino-Balkaria, – and found out that in total, over 31,000 voters were added at these 50 polling stations by the respective Precinct Election Commissions (PECs), says the article "All Approaches Have Been Recorded", published on June 3 on the newspaper's website. The article gives particular numbers of polling stations, where violations were recorded.

For two months already, activists and observers "are engaged in inconspicuous, laborious and unprecedented work by its scope": the review records from thousands of video cameras that were installed at polling stations on the voting day. They count the number of voters who dropped their ballots into ballot boxes, and then compare these numbers with the CEC's data, the newspaper notes.

"Perhaps, because of the small research volume, this is somehow reminding a biopsy that reveals multiple metastases in the electoral system, because these 31,000 extra votes were 'invented' not by one person; thousands of officials, who are involved in the crimes, order and organize them, then, execute, cover, shelter and indifferently accept the results, are responsible. And until they all remain unpunished, the disease will only progress," notes the author of the article.
