Azerbaijan claims 85 cases of shelling in Karabakh conflict zone
Units of the Armenian armed forces used large-calibre machine guns during shelling, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that a day earlier, Azerbaijan accused Armenia of 90 cases of shelling per 24 hours, from May 16 to 17, and use of machine guns.
From May 17 to May 18, the Armenian armed forces shelled the Azerbaijani positions 85 times, the Azerbaijani MoD's website reports.
According to the Azerbaijani MoD, the Armenian armed forces shelled the Azerbaijani positions deployed in the village of Guschu Airym and on the nameless heights of the Gazakh District.
Earlier, on May 17, the Armenian Ministry of Defence has complained to the OSCE about the activation of the armed forces of Azerbaijan.
