Nikol Pashinyan leads demonstrators in Yerevan

Today, a march of the protestors dissatisfied with power in Armenia has started from the "Lambada" bridge in Yerevan. It was led by opposition leader Nikol Pashinyan, who announced that the demonstrators did not intend to violate the law.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after Serzh Sargsyan resigned from the post of the Prime Minister of Armenia under pressure of the protesters in the streets, Nikol Pashinyan, the leader of the opposition "Elk" bloc, announced his ambitions to become the Prime Minister of the country.

Today, despite the "victory of the nonviolent velvet people's revolution" announced by opposition leader Nikol Pashinyan, thousands of supporters of his movement have again come to the streets of Yerevan and other cities of Armenia to prevent, as they say, the continuation of the power of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), the Radio "Azatutyun" reports.

Today, at the call voiced by Nikol Pashinyan, the protesters again block the streets, bridges, roads, announce strikes at enterprises, and miss classes in educational institutions. In the evening, the opposition movement plans to hold a rally in Republic Square in the centre of Yerevan.

According to Nikol Pashinyan, the demonstrators hope that no force methods will be used against them.
