Soldier dies in Nagorno-Karabakh

A soldier Narek Arutyunyan was killed by a shot from the Azerbaijani side, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Nagorno-Karabakh has stated.

The incident occurred on April 9 at 2:20 p.m. local time.

"A soldier of the Defence Army, Narek Gevorgovich Arutyunyan, born in 1998, received a fatal gunshot wound from the Azerbaijani side at the defensive point, located in the southern direction of the contact line," the press service of the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh has reported this evening.

The Azerbaijani MoD has not yet commented on the statement about the soldier's death in Nagorno-Karabakh.
