Resident of Dagestan accused of attacking "Caucasian Knot" correspondent

The case opened against the resident of the Tlyaratin District, who damaged a video camera of the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent at a rally in Makhachkala, has been sent to the court.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the case was initiated under the article on obstructing the lawful professional activities of a journalist.

On June 12, 2017, at a rally in support of the oppositionist Alexei Navalny in Makhachkala, several provocateurs attacked journalists.

According to investigators, on June 12, 2017, the above 34-year-old resident demanded from the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent to stop filming the rally.
