Authorities transfer 3.5 million roubles to Beslan memorial due to resonance in Facebook

Today, the Ministry of Housing and Utilities of North Ossetia has reported the transfer of half of the annual amount to the account of the memorial to the victims of the terror act in Beslan after a cemetery attendant informed social network users about the termination of funding.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 26, Kaspolat Ramonov, the chief of the GKU (Chief Control Department) "Beslan Memorial Cemetery", wrote on Facebook that his institution had not been funded for more than two years. The cemetery attendant has lamented that he has to pay employees and take care of the memorial from his own money.

Today, "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been informed by an officer from the press service for the Ministry of Housing and Utilities, Fuel and Energy of North Ossetia, that the amount of 3.5 million roubles was transferred to the account of the GKU "Beslan Memorial Cemetery".

After Kaspolat Ramonov had posted his message on Facebook, Vyacheslav Bitarov, the leader of North Ossetia, called his subordinates and demanded explanations from Albert Sokurov, Minister of Housing and Utilities, Fuel and Energy. The North-Ossetian leader has reminded his subordinates that the funds for financing the memorial were provided in the budget of the republic for 2017 and 2018, the press service for the leader of North Ossetia reported on March 27.
