New attacks in Chechnya

Unknown attackers fired automatic weapons at UAZ vehicles with federal servicemen not far from Assinovskaia, Sunzha district, on 31 July. Five were wounded, a source with Chechnya's Internal Affairs Ministry told Caucasian Knot.

On the same day one officer of the Chechen presidential security service was killed in a combat with rebels near Dargoi, Vedeno district, the Russian-Chechen Friendship Society says.

Three people in black camouflage uniforms and masks broke into the house of a local resident in Chernokozovo, Naurskaia district, according to Interfax. The robbers beat the man for a long time and tortured him with electricity. As a result, they obtained a small amount of money.
