North-Caucasian judokas win two gold medals at all-Russian tournament

Alim Balkarov from the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) has won a gold medal in the weight category up to 66 kg at the All-Russian Judo Tournament. Turpal Tekpaev from Chechnya did the same in the weight category up to 81 kg.

The tournament for judokas up to 23 years of age attracted 500 athletes from around the country.

Silver medals in weight categories of up to 60, up to 66 kg and up to 73 kg went to Sergey Abyan, Kazbek Achmizov and Samvel Babinyan, natives of the Krasnodar Territory.

The bronze medal among women in the weight category of up to 48 kg was won by Kristina Bulgakova, a resident of the Stavropol Territory, and the same medal in the weight category of up to 62 kg – by Anastasia Goncharova from the Krasnodar Territory.
