Authorities calculate volume of "shadow" fuel turnover in Dagestan

In Dagestan, over 500,000 tons of fuels and lubricants are in the "shadow" turnover and no taxes are paid for them, reported Khizri Shikhsaidov, Speaker of the Dagestani Parliament.

On February 26, at a meeting on taxes in the field of fuels and lubricants turnover, the Speaker of the Parliament reported that Dagestan annually imported more than 1,100,000 tons of gasoline from the Volgograd and Astrakhan Regions, as well as from Bashkortostan. The import of fuels and lubricants generally means wholesale supply. Meanwhile, half the imported fuel is sold in the region. According to Khizri Shikhsaidov, that fact indicates the turnover of unaccounted fuels and lubricants.

On February 21, at a meeting attended by Vladimir Vasiliev, participants already criticized owners of petrol stations. Then Khizri Shikhsaidov fully supported the position of the acting leader of Dagestan.
