Vladimir Vasiliev explains reasons for dismissal of officials in Dagestan

The minister for public education and the minister for land and property relations were removed from office because of their "extremely bad work," announced acting Dagestani leader Vladimir Vasiliev.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 19, 2017, Vladimir Vasiliev dismissed Shakhabas Shakhov, Dagestani Minister for Public Education and Science. On January 16, Ruslan Magomedov was dismissed from his position of the acting Minister for Property, Land Relations and Trade.

"I gave each of you a chance to show who is capable of ... I inform you that this is an extremely bad job. We have recently changed the Minister for Property. Orphans did not get apartments: that is a fault of the Ministry for Public Education, followed by a fault of the Ministry for Property: we cannot solve the issue of allocating land for a Navy base in Kaspiysk," stated Vladimir Vasiliev as quoted by the RIA "Novosti" on January 29.

The leader of the region has noted that the republic shows poor tax collection figures. According to him, there are no improvements on the above issue, and Dagestan is financed by 75% from the federal budget, the "Caucasus Today" reports.
