Chechen long-liver placed to a social centre in Chechnya

Madina Alieva, who was found in Azerbaijan and who introduced herself as a 104-year-old Chechen woman, was placed to a social centre in the Chechen village of Alpatovo.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on January 12, the woman found in the Goranboy District of Azerbaijan was sent to Grozny from the shelter "Mother Teresa's Sisters" at the Catholic Church in Baku.

On December 23, 2017, the police found the helpless woman 400 kilometres west of Baku. The woman introduced herself as Madina Alieva, a native of Dagestan and an ethnic Chechen. However, the Azerbaijani and Russian authorities could not identify the woman in short term. The woman did not explain how she found herself in the Goranboy District. She expressed her desire to leave for Chechnya after Ramzan Kadyrov had promised to help her.

The Ministry of Labour for Chechnya has reported that Madina Alieva is placed to a social shelter in the village of Alpatovo in the Naur District of Chechnya.

On January 14, in its night news, the "Grozny" TV Channel presented a story about the Madina Alieva's return to Chechnya. The elderly woman was quite cheerful on the air. She reported that she was born and lived all her life in Jordan with her relatives, but then she decided to return to Chechnya. However, in Azerbaijan, her passport, money, and jewelleries were stolen, and she was left in the street. The woman spoke in Chechen and occasionally used Russian words in her speech, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
