A suspect wounded in special operation in Pankisi Gorge gets worse

Today, an attending physician of Temirlan Machalikashvili, wounded by law enforcers during a special operation in the Pankisi Gorge, has reported about deterioration of his health state indicators.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 30, 2017, the attending physician reported on the deterioration of the Temirlan Machalikashvili's condition. After being wounded to his head, the suspect stays in extremely serious condition and is connected to an apparatus of artificial ventilation.

According to the State Security Service of Georgia, during a special operation conducted in the Pankisi Gorge on December 26, 2017, law enforcers wounded 19-year-old Temirlan Machalikashvili when he attempted to throw a grenade to them. The suspect's relatives denied the version voiced by the law enforcement bodies and the Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation under the article on the abuse of power committed by law enforcers.

Today, Zaza Lurmsmanishvili, a physician from the Archangel Michael Multidisciplinary Clinic, has reported that Tamerlan Machalikashvili's condition worsened. According to the physician, indicators of the patient's condition deteriorated "in some areas" and the analysis of the wounded suspect got worsened "by several times."

Malkhaz Machalikashvili, the patient's father, insists that his son should be inspected by neurosurgeons from Russia and Turkey.
