US journalists denied access to Kuban parliament

Today, delegates of the Legislative Assembly for the Krasnodar Territory have unanimously voted to ban journalists of US editions recognized as foreign agents from attending sessions of the Krasnodar Legislative Assembly.

The initiative was presented to the Legislative Assembly by delegate Nikolai Gritsenko.

The adopted resolution comes into force from the day of its adoption, that is, from today, the TASS reports.

The law to equate foreign media with foreign agents was adopted by the State Duma and was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin in late November 2017. In December, a ban was imposed to prohibit reporters of foreign media performing the functions of foreign agents to enter the Federation Council building, the "Interfax" reports.
