Vladimir Vasiliev threatens Dagestani officials with "serious control"

On November 8, at the first meeting of the government of Dagestan with his participation, Dagestani leader Vladimir Vasiliev said officials should fulfil their duties and not sit on the places.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 3, the Russian President appointed Vladimir Vasiliev, the leader of the Duma faction of the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) Party, the leader of Dagestan.

At the meeting of the Dagestani government held on November 8, Vladimir Vasiliev criticized the situation in the housing and communal services of the region.

He has drawn the government's attention to the fact that in a number of Dagestani cities, the boiler equipment is completely worn out and its technical condition does not meet the safety requirements. "You represent the inspection, and there will be a serious control over you," said the leader of the region when addressing Ali Djabrailov, the acting head of the State Housing Inspectorate of Dagestan.

"All questions concerning housing fund issues should be addressed only by the officials who are sitting here. A resident of a city does not care who supplies him with water: for him, the main thing is warm and clean water from a tap. The power is responsible for that, that is, all of us. We have agreed that we all fulfil our duties and do not sit on the places, and that means dynamics. And therefore I expect positive dynamics from you in solving specific tasks," emphasized Vladimir Vasiliev when quoted by the RIA "Dagestan".
