Azerbaijani oilman gets drowned in Caspian Sea

An assistant driller has drowned after falling into the sea from an oil platform of an Azerbaijani company.

The accident has happened this morning. 59-year-old Rasim Aliev was killed while he was working at a well of the Oil and Gas Production Department "May 28".

The driller's body was pulled out of the water, but he was already dead, the "APA" reports with reference to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 15, 2016, ten oilmen drowned after a collapse of an overpass to the Caspian Sea. The search works were not completed until August 22, when the body of the last of the drowned oilmen was found.
