Resident of Georgia taken into custody in South Ossetia

In South Ossetia, law enforcers have instituted criminal proceedings against Gennady Bestaev, a citizen of Georgia. According to the law enforcers' version, the man has violated the border for the third time.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 20, the KGB for South Ossetia reported that in September, South-Ossetian border guards detained 42 people.

On October 30, Gennady Bestaev, born in 1968, a citizen of Georgia, a native of the Gori District, was detained at the border between South Ossetia and Georgia in the vicinity of the Khelchua village in the Tskhinvali District, the press service of the KGB for South Ossetia reported.

"It has been found out that in August and September, the man was already detained for similar offenses and was brought to administrative liability with subsequent expulsion from the republic," reported the KGB for South Ossetia on its Facebook page.

On November 1, the Tskhinvali District Court pronounced the pre-trial restriction measure against Gennady Bestaev in the form of detention in custody for two months.
