Activists detained in Moscow for "Nord-Ost" poster

Three persons, who stuck a poster reading "Putin will answer for 'Nord-Ost'!" outside the White House were sent to a police station, said the coordinator of the Moscow Navalny's office.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that October 23 was the 15th anniversary of the capture by militants of the Dubrovka Theatrical Centre, where during the assault undertaken on October 26, 2002, at least 130 hostages perished. On October 26, Moscow held a commemoration of the casualties and victims of the terror act committed in the Dubrovka Theatrical Centre.

On October 23, 2002, during the musical "Nord-Ost", militants took 916 people hostage with the demand to stop combat actions in Chechnya. Three days later, during the assault of the building, at least 130 people were killed, and more than 700 others were injured. Relatives and friends of the victims demand from the authorities to answer questions concerning what kind of gas and on whose order was used during the assault and why no competent evacuation was organized and no medical assistance was provided to the victims.

This morning, the above activists have attached the above banner "Putin will answer for 'Nord-Ost'!" to the gate outside the White House.

"The activists have been detained by the police; now they are in the Presnya OVD (interior division)," the "Navalny LIVE" Twitter reports. So far, the details of their detention are unknown.

Despite the demands of survivors and casualties' relatives, many of the circumstances of the tragedy have not yet been made public. In particular, it is not clear how four dozens armed terrorists found themselves in the centre of the capital; and what actually caused deaths of hostages, Stanislav Kucher, who on October 23, 2002, reported news on one of Russian TV Channels, said yesterday, on the 15th anniversary of the tragedy.
