Over 3000 people attend Sultan Belkhoroev’s funeral

In Ingushetia, Sultan Belkhoroev, an elder of the religious concept (Wird) for followers of Batal-Khadji Belkhoroev, died after a short illness and was buried.

The funeral ceremony was attended by delegates from neighbouring regions, officials from the Muftiates of Chechnya and North Ossetia, and top-ranking officials of the government and the administration of the Ingush leader. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by people who came to the funeral ceremony.

The civil funeral rite was held in the city of Nazran, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Ibragim Dzagurov, a member of the North-Ossetian delegation, an assistant to the Mufti of North Ossetia.

"There were a lot of people, about 3000 people came, and the whole street was filled with people," Ibragim Dzagurov said.

According to friends of Sultan Belkhoroev, in recent years, he was engaged in peacekeeping activities and reconciliation of blood feuds and participated in resolution of many conflicts in the region.
