Official from Ukrainian consulate claims non-admission to Pavel Grib

Without explanations, Ukrainian consuls were denied the second meeting with the Ukrainian citizen Pavel Grib, accused of terrorism, said the spokesman of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Rostov-on-Don.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 13, a source from the Oktiabrsky District Court of Krasnodar confirmed that Pavel Grib was placed behind bars on terrorism charges.

19-year-old citizen Pavel Grib disappeared in Belarus in late August, and on September 7 was found in Krasnodar SIZO (pre-trial prison) No. 5. The territorial FSB branch informed Ukrainian diplomats that Pavel Grib was kept there charged under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (terrorism). According to his father, Pavel has a disability and must constantly take medications.

"Despite Pavel Grib’s personal application demanding to give him a chance to meet consuls on September 27, as well as the official appeal of the above Consulate General of Ukraine, the FSB’s Krasnodar Territorial Branch has banned the meeting without any explanations," the Consulate’s spokesman told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Let us remind you that earlier the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) demanded to admit Ukrainian doctors to Pavel Grib. Pavel Petrenko, the Minister of Justice of Ukraine, reported earlier that the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) had accepted Pavel Grib’s complaint for consideration.
