Tbilisi hunger-strikers fail to see ambulance

Tbilisi authorities refused to send an ambulance and set up bio-toilets near the parliament building for the hunger-strikers, the protesters assert.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 17, 17 activists of the oppositional "Patriots’ Alliance" went on a hunger strike outside the parliament building, demanding to amend the draft Constitution. On September 19, the number of hunger-strikers went up to 25; and they complained that policemen had forbidden them to protest lying.

The hunger strike was announced after a march in Tbilisi, where protesters demanded a constitutional reform, direct dialogue with Abkhazia and South Ossetia and the solution of social problems.

The above policemen’s ban has caused protesters’ extreme dissatisfaction, since most of them feel bad. They are concerned about blood tension stomach pains, Zurab Tskhovrebashvili, a hunger-striker, has stated.

Besides, it is raining today in Tbilisi, but the authorities do not allow setting up tents.
