Ramzan Kadyrov mentioned among Vladimir Putin's successors

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov was ranked 13th in the rating of the most influential public politicians, compiled by the "Saint Petersburg Policy" Foundation.

The authors of the survey treat Dmitry Medvedev as the main "successor" to President Vladimir Putin. In their rating, Dmitry Medvedev gained 21 points. The other "successors" are Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin (19 points), Alexei Dyumin, Governor of the Tula Region (18 points), and Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu (17 points). Ramzan Kadyrov with 14 points occupied the 13th place.

According to the authors, the scores are made up of indicators of publicity, public expectations, activities, non-involvement in conflicts, subjectivity (control over an influential clan and resource flows) and presence of a counter-campaign against a politician.

The authors of the rating specify that in their survey the term "successor" means "the highest rank of presence in the closest personnel reserve" of the Russian President.

"The earlier experience shows possible options, including nomination for the position of president, prime minister, or vice prime minister," states the report.

It should be noted that the authors of the rating placed Alexei Navalny, the leader of the Anti-Corruption Foundation, to the 18th place (with 10 points), while the 20th place went to a "dark horse," the "Kommersant" reports.

The authors of the report also note that, in comparison with the current and previous political cycles until 2024, the Ramzan Kadyrov's positions have a tendency to decline.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in April, Ramzan Kadyrov was included in the list of top ten politicians who enjoyed the confidence of Russian citizens.
