In Vladikavkaz, rally "For Fair Elections" gathers about 300 people

In North Ossetia, the rally organized by the "Communists of Russia" Party in protest against its withdrawal from the elections was attended by members of five other political parties.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that members of the "Communists of Russia" Party continue their indefinite political hunger strike in connection with the court's decision to withdraw their Party from the elections to the Parliament of North Ossetia.

Today, the sanctioned rally "For Fair Elections" has been held in Theatre Square in Vladikavkaz. According to the law enforcement agencies, about 300 people took part in the protest action. Members of the "Patriots of Russia", "Alliance of Greens", "Yabloko", "Party of Growth" Parties and the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) came to support the "Communists of Russia", the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

In his speech, Maxim Suraikin, Chairman of the Central Committee for the "Communists of Russia" Party, has stated that members of his Party "faced unprecedented opposition from the Central Election Commission (CEC)" in North Ossetia.

"We believe that the CEC is not able to hold fair elections and it is to be disbanded. We continue our struggle. We announced the all-Russian hunger strike to attract attention of the whole country to that," said Maxim Suraikin at the rally.
