Aziz Jamalutdinov found guilty of killing policeman Magomed Nurbagandov

The Supreme Court (SC) of Dagestan sentenced Aziz Jamalutdinov to 17 years of imprisonment on charges of killing police officer Magomed Nurbagandov.

On August 12, in the vicinity of Izberbash, a car of the road-and-patrol service (known as DPS) was shelled, and two policemen were killed. Later, in a mobile phone, belonging to one of the militants killed in the course of the special operation in Izberbash, law enforcers found a video showing how Magomed Nurbagandov was shelled and killed.

The court has found out that in December 2015, Aziz Jamalutdinov joined the ranks of militants, and in May 2016, he created an armed grouping operating in the territory of Izberbash and the Kabudakhkent and Sergokala Districts.
