"Novoe Delo": Magomed Omarov's relatives detained for kidnapping Dagestani Minister

Three men detained in the case on the kidnapping of Dagestani Minister Ibragim Kazibekov appeared to be relatives of Police Colonel Magomed Omarov, suspected of organizing the crime, the "Novoe Delo" reports. Meanwhile, the authorities denied the Magomed Omarov's blood relationship with Dagestani leader Ramazan Abdulatipov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Ibragim Kazibekov, Minister for Construction, Architecture, and Housing for the Republic of Dagestan, was kidnapped in Makhachkala on July 20. On July 21, two residents of Makhachkala were detained during the transfer of part of the ransom for Ibragim Kazibekov in the amount of 30 million roubles, and the kidnapped official was released. On July 25, suspects, brothers Zalkip and Yakhya Aliskantov, were arrested. On July 28, it became known about the detention of Colonel Magomed Omarov, the chief for the security department of the Dagestani government's administrative building, who, according to investigators, led the kidnappers.

Magomed Omarov is a relative of brothers Zalkip and Yakhya Aliskantov, who on July 21 were detained on suspicion of kidnapping the Minister, the edition "Novoe Delo" reports.

Besides, some details concerning the suspects' detention have been disclosed. According to the investigators, Magomed Omarov planned the kidnapping yet back in February. At first, he involved in the plan Zalkip Aliskantov, who had earlier criminal record. Then, several days before the kidnapping, Zalkip turned to his brother Yakhya. As a result, it was the Aliskantov brothers who took the Minister to an apartment in Makhachkala on July 20, where he was held for 24 hours. The brothers were arrested at the time of the ransom transfer, the website "Kavkaz.Realii" reports.
