Villagers deny information about departure of Ruzanna Tuko's family from Takhtamukai

Family members of Ruzanna Tuko, who appeared to be in the centre of the scandal with the gold medal of her classmate, were not attacked by their fellow villagers. They still live in their native village, reported residents of the village of Takhtamukai.

On July 19, the "Moskovsky Komsomolets" announced the departure of the Ruzanna Tuko's family to Stavropol because of harassment from their fellow villagers.

On June 21, at the school-leaving party, Ruzanna Tuko claimed that her classmate undeservedly got a medal, since her mother works as an official at the district education system. Relatives of the school-leaver prepared a claim against Ruzanna Tuko for protection of honour and dignity.

Journalist Arthur Kushu, a resident of the Takhtamukai aul (village), has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that Ruzanna entered an institution of higher education in Stavropol, but still lives in the aul. The villager has also added that the Ruzanna Tuko's family was "fairly well-off" by the standards of the aul. Arthur Kushu has also noted that the former official's family members also live in Takhtamukai.

The journalist has also suggested that the Ruzanna Tuko's family members did not plan to provoke such a resonance.

According to Adam, a resident of Takhtamukai, there was a conflict between the families of Ruzanna Tuko and her classmate.

Meanwhile, the villager has noted that Ruzanna Tuko "seemed to be a well-bred active girl, and she always greeted everyone." He has also emphasized that the Ruzanna Tuko's classmate was always "respected and loved" in the village.

Safiet, a woman from Takhtamukai, has called Ruzanna Tuko a "well-bred girl." "Her parents brought her up with a keen sense of justice, so she could not remain silent," the woman explained.

According to her, the Ruzanna Tuko's family members got tired of the media attention, and therefore they stopped communicating with journalists.
