Member of extremist organization "Muslim Brothers" detained in Abkhazia

In Sukhumi, agents of the State Security Service for Abkhazia have detained a native of Uzbekistan who confessed to be a member of the organization "Muslim Brothers", banned in Russia as a terrorist organization.

Ramazon Gufurov, born in 1967, was detained in Abkhazia. The native of Uzbekistan had a Russian passport issued in the name of Akram Allahverdan-oglu Gasanov.

Law enforcers found and seized from the detainee a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation with his photograph issued in the name of Akram Allahverdan-oglu Gasanov, with signs of forgery. The detainee has confessed to be a member of the extremist organization "Muslim Brothers" (Al-Ikhwan al-Muslimin). This was reported on July 21 in a message posted on the website of the Abkhazian State Security Service.

On July 21, the detainee was extradited to the Russian Federation for operative and investigative activities.
