Abkhazia identifies people suspected of killing Russian tourist

In Abkhazia, all participants of an attack on Russian tourists have been identified. This was reported by Mukhamed Kilba, Secretary of the Abkhazian Security Council.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 11, in Abkhazia, Russian tourist Andrei Kabanov was killed as a result of an armed attack. The Abkhazian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has promised to pay one million roubles for the information about the attackers' whereabouts. On July 13, the Abkhazian Prosecutor's Office announced the detention of the people suspected of killing the tourist from Russia.

According to Mukhamed Kilba, Secretary of the Abkhazian Security Council, the people involved in the criminal case on a robbery attack on Russian tourists and a murder of one of them have been identified. The information about the suspects will be released as soon as the evidence base is collected, Mr Kilba has announced.

A resident of Abkhazia, detained on suspicion of the robbery attack on Russian tourists and the murder of one of them, has confessed to the crime, the "Life" reports.

According to the edition, the detainee has claimed that he "only threatened with a weapon and used it to hold the family members of the murdered Russian citizen Andrei Kabanov, but did not commit the murder."

Let us remind you that on July 12, the Russian Embassy in Abkhazia recommended tourists from Russia to be cautious and vigil in connection with the deterioration of the criminal situation in the republic.
