Resident of Chechnya fined for posting Mutsuraev's songs in social network

The court has sentenced Emmin Shakhgiriev, a resident of Chechnya, to an administrative fine for posting songs of the Chechen poet and singer Timur Mutsuraev on the Internet. The songs are on the list of extremist materials.

Mr Shakhgiriev has posted several Mutsuraev's songs on his page of the social net "VKontakte".

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by a source from the republic's prosecutor's office that on June 30, the court ruled to fine Shakhgiriev.

A court in the Kemerovo Region had found over 20 Mutsuraev's songs as extremist. However, they are still popular in Chechnya, despite the ban, local residents report.

Earlier, on June 18, Ramzan Aliev and Magomed-Salakh Beskaev were accused of posting Mutsuraev's songs.
