Navalny’s supporters manage to seek Astrakhan Mayoralty’s sanction to hold pickets

Supporters of Alexei Navalny report that, after they had complaint to the court about the authorities’ inaction, the Mayoralty of Astrakhan has sanctioned two pickets.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 11, the supporters lodged a complaint to the court about the Mayoralty’s inaction, as it failed to timely consider their notification about the action in support of Navalny scheduled for May 7 action, and thus disrupted the action.

On March 15, the Astrakhan activists Andrei Egorov and Boris Kolomin applied for an anti-corruption rallies on March 26, but the Mayoralty refused to approve the actions.

According to Ilya Dyakonov, the head of Navalny’s regional office, the court intends to consider the supporters’ complaint on May 25.

At the same time, Navalny’s supporters managed to receive sanctions to hold two pickets in support of the politician in the coming weekend.
