In Makhachkala, law enforcers detain a man suspected of opening fire at a schoolboy

Investigators have instituted a criminal case under Article "Deliberate infliction of serious harm to health from hooligan motives with the use of weapons". A wounded schoolboy stays at the resuscitation ward of a hospital in a serious condition, the Ministry for Public Health reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the incident occurred in Makhachkala on May 16. A 14-year-old schoolboy was injured from a pneumatic pistol after he climbed up to a garage to collect cherry plums from a tree.

"The Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has initiated a criminal case against Abdula Mavraev," reported Rasul Temirbekov, the spokesman for the ICRF's Investigating Department for Dagestan.

The Article of the Criminal Code stipulates the maximum penalty of up to ten years of imprisonment. According to the investigators, Abdula Mavraev shot at a teenager when he stayed on the roof of the garage belonging to the suspect.
