Brother of alleged militant shelled in Ingushetia

Djabrail Cherbizhev, an employee of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) and the elder brother of Mikail Cherbizhev, who is wanted on suspicion of involvement with militants and killing policemen, was shelled in Malgobek, said a source.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Mikail Cherbizhev was announced wanted along with three residents of the Malgobek District on suspicion of involvement in the attack on two road-and-post (DPS) inspectors on April 8 in Malgobek.

Djabrail Cherbizhev was shelled on April 29 in Malgobek, said the source, adding, "Presumably, the fire was opened from some automatic weapon at the tractor, where he was sitting."

"In mid-April, Djabrail addressed, via the Internet, his younger brother Mikail, who had left home on September 25, 2015, with a request to get in touch with him, and, if he had been involved in illegal activities, to repent and surrender. He noted that all the relatives worry about him and would like that Mikail to get back to peaceful life," the "Interfax" quotes the source.

In his opinion, the shelling was connected with the video appeal of Djabrail Cherbizhev to his brother to give up his terrorist activities.
