Relatives of resident of Kaspiysk complain about his beating

Alisultan Shikhshabekov, a resident of Kaspiysk, was beaten up in the office of a construction company trying to collect money given to developers, his relatives said. They complained about the investigators' inaction.

According to Nargiz Shikhshabekova, her husband Alisultan Shikhshabekov was beaten up on April 27.

"By a deceit, under the pretext of checking housing bills, my husband was invited to the office of the construction company, where he was severely beaten up," said the woman.

According to her story, in 2014, their family decided to buy an apartment in the house, which was being built in the area of the Reductorny settlement of Makhachkala. "We paid the first deposit of 240,000 roubles to the cashier of the construction company; however, the works were stopped; the house has not been completed yet." We decided to take our money back," Ms Shikhshabekova said, adding that "during a year, the company employees invented all kinds of reasons for not returning our money."

In September 2016, the family turned to the Kaspiysk City Court demanding to collect 240,000 roubles back from the construction company. On September 5, the Court decided in favour of the Shikhshabekov family, but they never received their money.

According to Nargiz Shikhshabekova, the attackers on her husband on April 27 "took away financial documents from him and took away 55,000 roubles."

She has added that two participants in the attack "were identified and questioned by the district policeman." "However, none of the attackers has been detained yet," she added.
