Ukrainian MIA calls on to increase pressure on Russia in connection with verdict to Ruslan Zeitullaev

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Ukraine has condemned the verdict pronounced by the North-Caucasian District Military Court against Ruslan Zeitullaev, recognized as the organizer of the Crimean unit of the terrorist organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir", banned in Russia.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 26, the North-Caucasian District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Ruslan Zeitullaev to 12 years of imprisonment in a high-security penal colony.

On its official website, the Ukrainian MFA has posted a comment on the verdict pronounced against Ruslan Zeitullaev.

In particular, according to its comment, the Ukrainian MFA resolutely condemns the verdict pronounced against Ukrainian citizen Ruslan Zeitullaev and treats it as "illegal and inhuman decision."

The Ukrainian MFA has demanded "to immediately release Ruslan Zeitullaev to ensure his unhindered return to Ukraine" and addressed the world community with an appeal to "take measures to strengthen political and diplomatic pressure on the Russian Federation for the liberation of Ruslan Zeitullaev and other citizens of Ukraine..."
