Truckers report detention of protester near Manas

In Dagestan, Ullubiy Zainudinov, a participant of the truckers’ action against the “Platon” system, was detained after crossing the motorway by a pedestrian crossing. At first the truck failed to give way to Zainudinov, and then he struck the truck’s cab with his fist, the eyewitnesses told the "Caucasian Knot".

On April 18, the protester from the camp near the village of Manas was detained on the pretext of violating the traffic rules, an eyewitness told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The incident occurred near the truckers’ camp. Zainudinov was crossing M-29 "Kavkaz" highway along the pedestrian crossing and was hit by a KamAZ truck with a trailer, which would not give him way. The pedestrian made a remark to the driver.

"While expressing his outrage with the fact that the driver failed to give him way, as he had to, Zainudinov hit the car's body with his fist," the eyewitness said.

The eyewitness Ramazan has added that Zainudinov was detained without explanations by two employees in uniform after he crossed the highway and entered a cafe.
