Officials propose Dyakov family with many children to leave Sochi

On April 10, in Sochi, the Interdepartmental Commission considered the case of the Dyakov family with many children, who by order of the court should be evicted from the apartment they occupied in a manoeuvrable fund. Officials and the Dyakov family members did not come to a compromise.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 13, court marshals executed the decision of the court and evicted the Dyakov family with many children from the apartment in a manoeuvrable fund earlier provided to them. In the evening of March 13, the Dyakov family occupied the same apartment again. The Dyakov parents of three children claimed that they had nowhere to go.

"According to the city administration, the family members do not have the right to social housing and should comply with the court's decision on eviction from the apartment, which they occupied since 2011. While the parents do not solve their housing problem by themselves, the state can take care of their children," said at the hearing Irina Romanets, Vice City Mayor of Sochi.

The Dyakov family members categorically disagree with the officials' position.

"This will be a huge trauma for our family members and especially for children... It can cripple their psyche and physical health," said Tatiana Dyakova.

At the hearing, Fyodor Dyakov has said that the family does not have the financial opportunity to purchase housing for their money, since he and his spouse do not work.

'Sochi experiences unemployment problem right now; it's impossible to find work… Then they offered me to leave the city and buy some affordable land plot in the country', said Fyodor Dyakov, adding that he and his family members were born in Sochi and that their only apartment was destoyed during prepation to the Olympic Games.
