Wife of Kuban farmer Oleg Petrov reports searches on family farm

In the Cossack village of Kazanskaya, law enforcers carried out searches on a farm after a complaint had been field to the police with a request to provide medical assistance to Oleg Petrov, an arrested Kuban farmer. This was reported by his wife Elena Petrova.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 30, activist Oleg Petrov, accused of fraud, was arrested and went on hunger strike in protest. According to his defence, the activist feels worse, but there is no control over his health state at the pre-trial prison.

On March 28, the Oleg Petrov's field camp in the Cossack village of Kazanskaya was to become the starting point for the "tractor march" to Moscow. By their protest, Kuban farmers wanted to draw attention to the problem of raiders' seizures in the Krasnodar Territory. The police disrupted the protest action and searched the Oleg Petrov's house.

According to Elena Petrova, today, she has filed to the police station a complaint with the demand to call "ambulance" for her husband, since she fears for his health state in connection with the hunger strike. After that, in her absence, the police carried out a search in the Petrovs' house.
