Court recognizes as illegal non-admission of advocates of Gasanguseinov father to his sons' case

The Soviet District Court of Makhachkala has granted the complaint filed by Murtazali Gasanguseinov about the investigator's failure to let advocates of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" enter the case of the murder of his sons-shepherds.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Nabi and Gasangusein Gasanguseinov from the village of Goor-Khindakh were killed on August 23, 2016. Relatives of the Gasanguseinov brothers insist that the shepherds had no connections with the armed underground. The investigators refused to recognize the father of the Gasanguseinov brothers as a victim, and he filed a complaint about the inaction of the investigators.

On March 30, the Court agreed with the position of the advocates of the Gasanguseinov brothers from the HRC "Memorial" about their right to act as defenders of the murdered brothers. The advocates tried to enter the case; however, the investigators insisted that it was impossible without the Murtazali Gasanguseinov's complaint with a request to involve them as advocates.

Earlier, the advocates of the HRC "Memorial" have stated that the investigators do not allow advocates to enter the case, and they have considered that the investigators are trying to deprive the parents of their right to rehabilitate their sons.
