Activist of "Musavat" Party detained in Baku

In Azerbaijan, members of the "Musavat" Party associate the detention of Nizamali Suleimanov, an activist of the party, with his political activities.

Today, Nizamali Suleimanov has been detained and brought to the 31st department of the Surakhani District police department of Baku. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Faradj Kerimli, deputy chairman of the "Musavat" Party.

According to Faradj Kerimli, physical force was used against Nizamali Suleimanov during his detention. The young man was taken away from home and his PC was also seized, stated Faradj Kerimli.

"Till present, the reasons for detention at the police have not been declared yet. The seizure of the PC proves the political motives for the prosecution. Being a member of the Surakhani branch of our party, Nizamali Suleimanov took an active part in the activities of the 'Musavat' Party. The young man was also active in social networks, he placed and shared critical posts," said Faradj Kerimli. He believes that the young man faces "a fabricated charge of committing some kind of administrative violation."
