Searches in Dagestani MoD coincide with intensification of struggle among Ramazan Abdulatipov's subordinates

The investigative actions at the Dagestani Ministry of Education (MoE) are connected only with the case of a large-scale bribe in the administration of additional education, and they did not affect the work of the department, reports the MoE. Shakhabas Shakhov, Minister of Education, a member of the Ramazan Abdulatipov's team, and after Vice-Premier Tolstikov entered the team, the intraparty struggle in the sphere of education has intensified. This opinion was voiced by journalist Magomed Magomedov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 22, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) announced the searches at the place of the chief of the additional education department of the Dagestani Ministry of Education. A case of extortion has been instituted against him. Later, searches were also conducted at the house of Shakhabas Shakhov, Minister of Education, and the chiefs of the MoE's departments.

According to an official from the Dagestani MoE, during the search, no documents were seized from the offices of the department for additional education, social protection and support of children and young people.

Magomed Magomedov, a political observer of the newspaper "Chernovik" (Draft), believes that the incident in the Dagestani MoE can prove a struggle within the team of the Dagestani leader.

In his turn, Gadjimurad Sagitov, the editor-in-chief of the Dagestani newspaper "Novoe Delo", believes that, most likely, searches in the Dagestani MoE should not be politicized.

Let us remind you that Shakhabas Shakhov headed the Dagestani Ministry of Education on September 17, 2014, on the day when Idris Musaev, First Deputy Minister of the Dagestani MoE, was detained on suspicion of a large-scale fraud.
