Makhachkala residents demand to remove shopping pavilion from adjacent house territory

During the action held by 20 tenants of the house in Imam Shamil Avenue, protestors voiced a demand against merchants to remove a shopping pavilion. Entrepreneurs claim that the pavilion has been built legally.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that today, tenants of the house No. 103 have held an action with the demand to remove the shopping pavilion. According to the tenants of the house, a small plot of land, which they improved by themselves, "has almost completely been filled with boxes and containers."

"Two days ago, unknown people came here and cut down two trees, which we planted by ourselves. They covered everything with gravel and installed a container store," said Shekerkhanum Muslimova, a participant of the protest action.

According to Seifullakh Makhtiev, another tenant of the house, the adjacent territory filled with commercial objects was "the only place where the tenants could have a rest in the open air."

Representatives of the owner of the shopping pavilion let the participants of the protest action to examine the project of landscaping. According to the project, it is planned to plant trees near the house, install benches, and build a fountain.

Meanwhile, the representatives of the entrepreneur have failed to present to the tenants the legal documents with registration of the right on the land plot or on its lease. The tenants of the house intend to file a claim to the court with the demand to cancel the permission to install the pavilion.

According to lawyer Arsen Magomedov, the administration of Makhachkala "unjustifiably disposes of the adjacent territories."
