Vladikavkaz protesters report pressure on detainees in Tskaev’s case

The policemen, detained within the case of Vladimir Tskaev’s death, are offered, in exchange for the freedom, to testify against each other, the protesters Vladikavkaz have stated. The investigators’ bias was stressed by the defendant Soslan Sitokhov, who is under recognizance not to leave.

Today, about 100 relatives of the policemen, detained within the case of Tskaev's death, came to the Government House in Vladikavkaz and demanded an objective inquiry into the criminal case.

Vladimir Tskaev died at night on November 1, 2015, after questioning at Iriston police station. Relatives believe that he was tortured. Ten policemen were detained; two of them signed a deal with investigators.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that during the action, Fatima Tsomaeva, the mother of the policeman Georgy Tsomaev, declared his innocence. According to her version, on the day of Tskaev's death, "the son was at home, which can be confirmed by video cameras."

Tskaev was suspected of inflicting a gunshot wound to an OMON (riot police) agent Roland Pliev. However, Marat Bukulov, a resident of Vladikavkaz, confessed of wounding Pliev, but asserted that he acted within the self-defence limits. The court sentenced Bukulov to 2.5 years in colony.
