Leader of Ingush branch of "National Security of Russia" Party demands to bring blogger to responsibility

Visit Tsoroev, the leader of the regional branch of the political party "National Security of Russia" for the Republic of Ingushetia, has sent a complaint to the law enforcement authorities with a demand to bring to responsibility blogger Ilya Davydov. The blogger became known among Internet users under the nickname of Maddison in connection with a video, in which he talked about Islam, the Koran, and Muslims.

Davydov's stage performance with jokes about the Koran and the Bible, dates back to the year of 2012. Later YouTube published the humorous presentation of Ilya "Maddison" Davidov "The joke about the Koran" with duration of 2 minutes and 6 seconds. In the video, the blogger uses abusive language to tell the audience how he bought the Koran and went to a toilet room to read it, but found no toilet paper there.

According to Visit Tsoroev, the video, entitled "Maddison about Islam, the Koran, and Muslims", published on the Internet on YouTube, contains signs of incitement to hatred and an affront to human dignity on the basis of attitude to religion.

On February 27, an appropriate complaint, a copy of which is available to the "Caucasian Knot", was sent to the General Prosecutor's Office, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), and the Russian FSB.

In his complaint, Visit Tsoroev notes that "video blogger Ilya Davydov, well-known for his blasphemous remarks about the sacred books of the Bible and the Koran in one of comedy shows, voiced in the video insulting remarks against the Prophet Muhammad and all Muslims."
