Felgenhauer and Malashenko doubt that Chechen soldiers in Syria obey to Kadyrov

Chechen soldiers who stay in Syria do not obey to orders of Ramzan Kadyrov. This was stated by Pavel Felgenhauer, an observer of the newspaper "Novaya Gazeta". Alexei Malashenko, a member of the Scientific Council of the Moscow Carnegie Centre, has doubted the information that Ramzan Kadyrov every day receives reports from Syria.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 23, Ramzan Kadyrov admitted the presence of Chechen soldiers and officers in the Syrian city of Aleppo.

Pavel Felgenhauer believes that the Chechen soldiers and officers have no international mandate for training of Syrian soldiers and policemen.

According to Pavel Felgenhauer, Ruslan Numakhadjiev, a commander of a military police battalion, has stated in his interview that he every day reports to Ramzan Kadyrov. "However, this is a private affair of Ruslan Numakhadjiev himself. He can call anybody he wants, but he is not a subordinate of Ramzan Kadyrov," said Pavel Felgenhauer.

Concerning the information about the visit to Syria of MP Adam Delimkhanov and Chechen Mufti Mezhiev, the observer of the "Novaya Gazeta" believes that the trip "was not something special."

In his turn, Alexei Malashenko believes that the Russian military policemen, arriving to Chechnya, have a mandate to train Syrian soldiers.

The expert did not rule out that Ruslan Numakhadjiev could speak a lie, when claiming daily reports to Ramzan Kadyrov. Alexei Malashenko has noted that the Russian Ministry can send law enforcers to Syria, but not the leader of Chechnya by himself.
