Workers of "Sedin" plant confirm payment of wage arrears
In Kuban, the authorities have repaid in full the wage arrears to 151 workers of the "Sedin" machine-tool plant and promised to save the plant. This was reported by the workers of the "Sedin" plant.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 6, Veniamin Kondratiev, Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, announced that the wage arrears to the workers of the "Sedin" plant in the amount of 16 million roubles had been covered in full.
In May, the "Sedin" machine-tool plant was declared bankrupt. The workers demand to repay wage arrears accumulated since 2015.
According to deputy chief constructor Alexei Kuznetsov, the leader of the initiative group of Joint-Stock Company (JSC) "Sedin Machine-Tool Plant", the workers ask the Kuban authorities to preserve one of the oldest machine-tool plants in Russia.
Alexei Kuznetsov has added that till present, several dozen employees, including himself, still work at the plant.
Vyacheslav Veter, the chief constructor of the "Sedin" machine-tool plant, has reported that he was laid off in March. Since then, he takes some unqualified jobs in anticipation that the plant will resume its activities.
