Kuban authorities: wage arrears to workers of "Sedin" plant paid off

According to the administration of the Krasnodar Territory, wage arrears to 151 workers of the "Sedin" machine-tool plant amounting to 16 million roubles have been paid in full.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in May, the "Sedin" plant was declared bankrupt. The workers demand to cover wages arrears accumulated wince 2015. A recent picket was held by workers of the "Sedin" plant on November 14. The administration of the Krasnodar Territory has announced its intention to pay off the wage arrears after the sale of the plant property in February.

Despite the difficult economic situation in the country, the wage arrears to the workers of the "Sedin" plant have been repaid in full, reported Veniamin Kondratiev, Governor of the Krasnodar Territory. He has also promised to "revive the machine-tool industry in the Krasnodar Territory," reports the website of the administration of the Krasnodar Territory.

Earlier, workers of the "Sedin" plant have expressed their scepticism about the authorities' promises to resume the operation of the plant.
