Dagestani journalists compare resignation of three officials with sacrifice

For Ramazan Abdulatipov, the head of Dagestan, the resignation of Musa Musaev, the Mayor of Makhachkala, would mean a declaration of his blunder with his appointment, said Magomed Magomedov, an observer of the "Chernovik" weekly. The authorities had to dismiss three Makhachkala officials, committing a sort of a "peculiar sacrifice," said Gadjimurad Sagitov, the editor-in-chief of the "Novoe Delo".

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on the demand of Ramazan Abdulatipov, on December 6, Gyadjiyav Darbishev, the head of the Leninsky District of Makhachkala was dismissed from his post, as well as the deputy head of the Kirov District and the head of the settlement of Semender, located in this district.

On December 5, the head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov told Musa Musaev, the Mayor of Makhachkala, that the heads of three city districts should be dismissed for improper fulfilment of their duties. In late October, the city suffered from a mass poisoning with drinking water; the situation with spontaneous dumps also remains topical.

The situation in Makhachkala is critical, believes the above Magomed Magomedov. According to his story, Abdulatipov was forced to respond to the crisis situation, and decided to "punish those responsible."

The journalist has also noted that the preservation by Sagydov of his post of head of the Kirov District of Makhachkala can be associated with the fact that he "had demonstrated to locals a real interest in solving problems."

In his turn, Gadjimurad Sagitov, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Novoe Delo", has added that he doubts that "all the three dismissed bureaucrats were incapable persons."
